How to Best Take Care of Your Car in the Changing Weather

You may not feel it quite yet, but the fall season is officially here. Pretty soon, the cool weather and brittle air will arrive and finally end this hot summer we’ve all experienced. But the changing weather can also affect your car. Changing weather and fall precipitation can create dangerous driving conditions so we provided a list of things for you to do to make sure your car is good to go:

Alignment & Rotation
Getting an alignment and rotation is one of those things that you may hear about a lot but not know exactly what they do. An alignment is important because it helps your car drive on the straight and narrow and keeps it from drifting too far from one side or the other. Meanwhile a rotation is extremely helpful in prolonging the life and health of your tires. With changing temperatures and the chance of precipitation and debris on the road, having tires that are up for the task is essential.

Tire Pressure
In case you didn’t already know, a change in temperature can also affect your tire’s air pressure. The most important thing you can do is know your tire’s recommended air pressure. The recommended number can vary depending on the make, model, and age of your vehicle so you should consult your car’s manual to see what it suggests. Having an overly inflated or under inflated tire can be both dangerous and harmful to your gas mileage.
